Sharing Forms
Visual DB Forms can be used to collect data by sharing a link, or by embedding them in your web page. To enable sharing open the design panel and toggle Public link. The settings dialog will show the shareable link and configuration options.
Advantages of Visual DB Forms
Unlike standalone form tools, Visual DB forms are directly integrated with your database:
No manual data transfer - Responses automatically appear in your database tables, ready to use immediately
Immediate workflow integration - Submitted data is instantly available for reporting, automation, and business processes
Unified data management - View, edit, and analyze form responses alongside all your other data in one place
Custom validation - Leverage your existing database constraints and business rules
No export/import hassle - Skip the spreadsheet download and upload cycle entirely
The key advantage is that Visual DB forms are part of your complete data system, not a separate tool that requires manual integration.
Security Restrictions
Anonymous users can only submit responses—they cannot view existing data or browse related tables.
Foreign key fields
Foreign key fields are not supported in publicly shared forms because anonymous users cannot browse records in related tables to make a selection.
Line items
Line items (also known as master-detail) are not supported in publicly shared forms.
